Whilst playing Melgar on Wednesday, the team conceded their first goal in astounding fashion.
They ended up losing the game 2-1, and it is easy to see why.
The bizarre sequence of events leading up to the goal involved a quick throw-in, a ricochet and an air-kick, with John Carlos Tapia eventually turning the ball into his own net in the 37th minute.
In a dramatic game, Sport Rosario managed to pull themselves level late on when Alan Murialdo found the net.
However, there was further misery to come for the visitors as they were reduced to ten men when Carlos Olascuaga was dismissed in stoppage time at the end of the second half.
Then Melgar, who were already down to ten men themselves, scored the winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time, with Patricio Arce making no mistake from the penalty spot.
It was the aforementioned abysmal defending, though, which was the biggest talking point, and it will take something out of the ordinary to beat it as the worst defending for a goal conceded this season.
