Perisic: "With important players you don't wait until the end to talk"

Ivan Perisic was one of, if not the most important figure in an Inter Milan side that lifted the Coppa on Wednesday, thanks mainly to his extra-time brace.

In addition, the 'Nerazzurri' are in a head-to-head battle for the Scudetto with neighbours AC Milan. With all this, the reality is that the Croatian's future is still up in the air, as his contract expires next June.

From his words after the final, the World Cup runner-up made it clear that there have been no moves from the club to reach a renewal deal that is being put off for too long, a situation that is causing him unease.

"I don't know what my future will be. But with important players you don't wait until the last moment to talk. They should know that too," the winger told the media outlets.
