Pedro Porro is about to pack his bags for England. The Spanish right-back, who has been spoken about for a while after Tottenham's interest, has already agreed a deal with the Premier League side, with just it being made official to go. Journalist Fabrizio Romano, who is an expert in this sort of area, made it known on Twitter.
Spurs, in fact, have never worried about getting this deal done. It was there priority since the transfer window opened and they have been working on it little by little, without rushing or comitting mistakes. Additionally, the amount all the teams in their league can spend plays into their favour, as they normally compete very well against sides from other countries. Television rights are where this wealth has come from.
The mentioned source claimed that €50 million will be exchanged once the player formalises the switch. This very week, he will wave goodbye to the fans of his soon-to-be ex-club, and will pack his bags and do the necessary tasks to get settled into the club which will be his home for the next few yeasrs of his career, as he will fight to consolidate his status as one of Europe's main talents.
These advances in negotiations mean Porro's coach Ruben Amorim has to face a situation he was not expecting. In a press conference just over a week ago, he said that he did not think that his player was going to go this month, but if Romano's information is correct, he will have to ask the board for a replacement or alter his plans for the rest of the season.
