Pedri and De Jong target UCL clash with PSG

Pedri and Frenkie De Jong are recovering from their respective injuries. According to journalist Adria Albets, both could be fit to play in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final between FC Barcelona and PSG in Paris. 

Despite the positivity generated in the dressing room, neither the staff nor the doctors can guarantee the presence of the two midfielders in the match. 'Sport' reports that the 'Cule' team are expecting them to return for the match, but they are going to be cautious, especially with Pedri. 

Pedri suffered an injury to the rectus femoris in his right thigh and has already said he does not want to set a return date. De Jong, meanwhile, suffered a sprained external lateral ligament in his right ankle.

Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo look certain to feature in the clash. Neither played in the last game against Las Palmas, but it was only as a precaution. The Uruguayan was even included in the squad, while the Dane watched the game from the stands. 

Barcelona have a big part of the season at stake in this Champions League tie. That is why it is a clash for which Xavi is going to need all the players he can get. Both Pedri and De Jong are important pieces in the Catalan coach's scheme and, even though they would arrive without competitive rhythm due to the lack of games, they would certainly have minutes if they are medically fit.
