It was revealed last week that West Ham were in talks with the French champions over a move for the Argentine as PSG look to clear the decks this summer.
The deal in question was believed to be worth £17.5m, money which could prove vital to the French side as they look to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
However, according to the aforementioned source, Pastore is currently demanding £190,000-a-week to make the move to West London.
Whilst the 'Hammers' accept that they must pay the going rate if they are to bring their ambitious targets to the club, that figure is considered exorbitant, with the club unwilling to commit so much to a single player.
Pastore has a year left on his contract at the Parc des Princes and it appears his current club may have to agree to continue paying a portion of his wages until the expiration of that deal.
