De Boer has enjoyed a torrid start to life in the Premier League, losing his first three games, but he is hopeful that he can turn things round with a few additions.
The first player through the door could be Liverpool's French defender Mamadou Sakho.
Sakho spent the second half of last season on loan at Selhurst Park and left a lasting impression on the club's staff and their fans.
The 'Eagles' tried to put together a move for the player earlier this summer but they baulked at what they deemed an 'excessive' asking price.
However, with time ticking away and cubs becoming more desperate, it is thought that the two sides are close to agreeing a £25m deal.
Another player through the door could be West Ham's Jose Fonte.
Fonte only joined Slaven Bilic's side in January but has largely failed to impress at the London Stadium.
Bilic is thought to be prepared to part with the 33-year-old this summer but would like to recoup the £8m the club paid for the Portuguese just seven months ago.
Whether the pair would be enough to keep Palace out of a relegation battle is up for debate.
