Own goal put Real Madrid ahead

The scoring was opening in the opening ten minutes through a comical own goal.

Real Madrid well to work the ball in to the Valencia penalty area, with the hosts failing to clear their lines after a Gareth Bale cross. 

Dani Carvajal did well to win the ball back, dribbled the ball down the inside and then whipped in a dangerous cross.

Denmark international Daniel Wass tried to head the ball away, however inadvertently headed it past his own goalkeeper.

Despite hitting the top of his head, the ball skewered backwards and in to his own net, leaving Neto with no chance. 

A deserved goal for ‘Los Blancos’ after a dominant opening ten minutes.
