OFFICIAL: William Carvalho signs for Real Betis

The Portuguese international has signed a contract which will see him at the club until 2023.

Real Betis confirmed the signing via their Twitter account.

26-year-old Carvalho is a defensive midfielder. He was a vital component of Portugal's team in Russia, playing in every game.

With Sporting, where he has grown up as a player, he played around 200 games and scored 11 goals.

Betis will want Carvalho to arrive in Seville later in the week to complete his medical and to be presented to fans.
