Off the back of eight league defeats, the Baggies board decided they'd seen enough. Currently 10 points adrift at the bottom of the league, West Brom's hopes for safety are disappearing rapidly.
In a desperate attempt to salvage the season, West Brom have waved goodbye to Alan Pardew, who took over from Tony Pulis at the end of November.
The club revealed that Darren Moore, the current first-team coach, will take the reins on an interim basis.
In a statement to the fans, the club declared: "West Bromwich Albion and Alan Pardew have agreed to mutually part company following discussions between both parties."
"Assistant head coach John Carver will also be leaving."
"The club would like to thank Alan and John for their efforts and wish them well in their future endeavours."
