The English FA confirmed on Wednesday that Thomas Tuchel will be appointed England's new manager until after the 2026 World Cup.
The German, whose most recent job was at Bayern Munich, where he left after breaking a decade of Bavarian dominance in German football, has signed a contract until after the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
He will start coaching from January 1, 2025, ahead of the March World Cup qualifiers. Anthony Barry will be the former Chelsea manager's assistant.
Following Gareth Southgate's departure after Euro 2024, England have been coached by interim manager Lee Carsley, who has won three Nations League games - against Finland twice and Republic of Ireland and lost one to Greece. Carsley will remain in charge for the next two Nations League matches against Greece and Ireland.
