OFFICIAL: Simpson extends Bournemouth contract

Simpson, 21, has been the club since the age of eight and made his first start for the club last season in a 4-0 loss to Manchester City. 

The defender has featured three times for the 'Cherries' this season, all in the Carabao Cup, in which they take on Chelsea in the quarter-finals in December. 

Speaking to the club's official website, Simpson remarked: "At the start of September they told me they wanted to give me an extension on what I already had, I was delighted about that.

"Now we've been through the process of getting it sorted and signed and I'm very happy to have signed another new contract.

"It's great that the management believe in me and it's great to have the opportunity to play here."
