The transfer of the former Barcelona striker from Super Lig rivals Antalyaspor to Konyaspor was announced through a Game of Thrones themed video on their official twitter account on Wednesday.
Eto'o was free to find a new club after mutually terminating his deal with Antalyaspor with the club releasing a statement on Tuesday which read: "We have parted ways with our captain Samuel Eto'o by mutual consent. The club thank him for his contribution and wish him success for the future".
The 36-year-old had made 77 appearances for his former Turkish club, scoring 44 goals, but felt he needed a new challenge with his new side also struggling at the bottom of the Super Lig table, two points worse off.
Eto'o has had a decorated football career playing for the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea and has been capped 118 times internationally by Cameroon.
The Konyaspor president Fatih Yilmaz was understandly thrilled with the signing: "Eto'o is a very important player in the world and in Turkey. We are happy to see him in Konyaspor".
