Kehrer leaves Schalke after six years with the club, having joined the clubs academy set-up in 2012.
The new PSG coach Julian Dexter told 'Sport World' that: he "likes his personality."
He went on to say: "He is a very involved player, and very professional. Also, he has a certain amount of maturity from being captain of the German Under-21 team."
"He's fast and can play in all four of the defensive positions. He plays well with the ball at his feet and could play in the midfield."
