Real Madrid have officially confirmed the signing of French left back, Ferland Mendy, from Olympique Lyon.
The defender is reported to have had his medical completed at Clairefontaine during the international period, with Real Madrid sending representatives to the French National team's base.
Didier Deschamps himself even revealed that the transfer was complete in the press conference before France's 4-0 demolition of Andorra yesterday.
Mendy has signed for Real for a reported 50 million euros and has signed on till 2025, thus it is a 6 year contract at the 13 times European Champions.
Real have already signed Eder Militao, Rodrygo, Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard before Mendy, in what is likely to still be an active summer window as they look to regain their place at the very top of the European game following a bitterly dissapointing season in Madrid.
Mendy has played twice for France, and played 44 times for Lyon this season, scoring 3 times and assisting 3 times.
