Liverpool have loaned 20-year-old Spanish midfielder Stefan Bajčetitić to Las Palmas until the end of the season, the Gran Canarian club announced on Friday.
Stefan Bajčetić (22/10/2004, Vigo) has played this season on loan at Red Bull Salzburg, where he has accumulated 19 appearances and 895 minutes between the Austrian League, the National Cup and the Champions League.
In a statement, Unión Deportiva highlighted that "Stefan is characterised by his versatility in midfield, being able to play both as a holding midfielder and as an central midfielder".
"He is a player with a good physique, excellent on the ball and outstanding defensive and attacking capabilities. Intelligent in his understanding of the game, he stands out for his ability to associate, his combinative play, making him a box-to-box," he added.
The new UD Las Palmas player began his football career in the youth ranks of Celta Vigo before making the leap to Liverpool, where he continued his development. At 20 years of age, his new team has shown his quality by participating in the Premier League and the Champions League.
Stefan Bajčetić has been capped for Spain at youth international level: he made his debut for the U18s in 2021 and for the U21s in 2023, at the age of 18. In the latter, he has accumulated 129 minutes in three official matches, excelling in U21 Euro qualifiers and international friendlies.
