OFFICIAL: Juventus v Milan off due to Coronavirus

Shortly after 11pm CET, the news was made official by Juventus. The match between Juventus and Milan on Wednesday in the Coppa Italia has been postponed. The return leg will not take place on Wednesday 4th March due to the Coronavirus. 

There was talk of the game being called off for several days. There was talk of the Italian FA (FIGC) ordering the match to be behind closed doors. In the end, the match has been postponed. 

Serie A matches in the same region were called off last weekend for the same reason including the Juve v Inter fixture last Sunday. 

Italy is going through a difficult situation at the moment because of the Coronavirus in recent days and sporting events are being badly affected by the disease. 

The Coronavirus situation has even affected the Champions League. UEFA may move the Juventus v Lyon game out of Turin.
