Juventus have had a topsy-turvey season with the Italian Football Federation. First, they were docked 15 points, before the appealed that decision, winning and reclaiming the points in April.
Now, the side from Turin have been hit with another deduction, this time of 10 points, which puts the side in 7th spot in the Serie A. It is the same reason which had caused the deduction in the first place, with their capital gains being the subject of investigation.
Questionable financial books have landed the Italian giants in trouble, meaning as it stands they will drop out of the Champions League qualifying spots in the Italian top flight.
The news came just minutes before the start of the side's league game against Empoli, with the clash having renewed importance, with the Turin side just one point out of the qualifying spots for the Europa Conference League.
In response to the news, the side released the following: "Juventus Football Club takes note of what was decided by the FIGC Court of Appeal and reserves the right to read the reasons to evaluate a possible appeal to the Guarantee Board at CONI".
They went on to say that this decision "arouses great bitterness in the club and in its millions of supporters who, in the absence of clear rules, find themselves extremely penalised with the application of sanctions that seem to take into account the principle of proportionality".
