Real Madrid confirmed the positive coronavirus tests of both Hazard and Casemiro this morning through an official statement of the club.
The official statement reads as such: 'Real Madrid communicates that our players Hazard and Casemiro have both given positive results to COVID-19 tests carried out yesterday Friday morning".
It continues: 'All of the other players and technical staff, everyone that works directly with the players, gave negative results in the same tests carried out yesterday'.
The news will come as a hard blow to Zidane who will be missing two of his sure starters for the match tomorrow against La Liga rivals Valencia away.
There is still the possibility of the test results being false positives, as has happened in other high profile cases. However, the players will have to be tested again if they are to make it to any of the fixtures in the immediate future.
The official statement from the club also says that 'no other players have tested positive' as of Saturday morning when the statement was published on the official Real Madrid website.
The statement makes no mention of the two players' physical state of well being at the time of writing.
