At 33 years old, Filipe Luis returns home. After eight seasons in nine years at Atletico Madrid, the Brazilian, a Copa America winner with Brazil, will play in the Brasileirao for the next two and a half seasons, according to 'UOL'.
The South American side made the signing of the footballer official this Tuesday. They did it via social media in a video which first showed the path to the editorial office and the Twitter post on one of the club's computers before pressing send to post the message.
Afterwards, Filipe Luis published a photo of when he was a kid dressed in a Flamengo shirt. "A feeling which goes from father to son, from grandfather to grandson. The day has arrived to fulfill my childhood dream," the footballer wrote.
Filipe Luis says goodbye after 14 seasons in European football. The fullback joined the Real Madrid academy in the 2005-06 season. Deportivo, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have been the teams he has played at during this period.
