OFFICIAL: Coleman takes over at Hebei China Fortune

It will come as a welcome gift to Coleman, who is celebrating his 48th birthday today, and sees him make a quick return to management. 

He is most famous for taking Wales to the semi-finals of Euro 2016, knocking out teams such as Belgium along the way.

However, his last job saw him unable to save a troubled Sunderland side after he took over from Simon Grayson, and the 'Black Cats' slid into League One. 

Hebei China Fortune announced the deal on Weibo, a popular Chinese social network, and Coleman has signed a two-and-a-half year deal. 

The squad features a number of well known names, including Javier Mascherano and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
