Just 24 hours after Sandro Ramirez signed for Everton and Malaga already have his replacement, the club have signed Borja Baston on loan from Swansea after the player passed a routine medical.
Baston came through the academy at Atletico Madrid and arrives on the Costa del Sol to deliver goals, something he failed to do at Swansea.
The deal is a season-long loan but it is understood there is no option to buy as is often the case with these deals.
The 24-year-old failed to score in 18 appearances for Swansea last season, but has proved he can do it in Spain in spells at Deportivo, Zaragoza and Eibar.
In fact, at Eibar, Baston scored 18 goals in La Liga and was just two behind Athletic Bilbao striker Aritz Aduriz who finished as the top-scoring Spaniard in the division that season with 20.
Current Malaga players Keko and Adrian are both former team-mates of Baston's and no doubt they'll be hoping for a successful reunion at the Rosaleda.
