Odegaard matches Fabregas' record

Arsenal led Newcastle in the 14th minute of their match on Sunday, thanks to the goal from Martin Odegaard. The midfielder received the ball outside the area and with a powerful and low shot he beat Nick Pope to make it 0-1, and keep Arsenal's title hopes alive.

That goal was the Norwegian international's 15th of the season for the Gunners and equals Cesc Fabregas' goal record, one of the modern legends of the London club.

No midfielder has reached this number of goals since the ex-Barcelona player in the 2009/10 season. As if that wasn't impressive enough, the Norwegian has reached that record still with three games to play before the end of the season (Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Wolves).

Not only this but a few weeks ago, Odegaard played his 100th game with the club. It came in the match against rivals Man City, the team he has played the most times against - 6 times, the same as against Liverpool.
