Lucas Ocampos had an agreement close to being signed to become Ajax's new player, but the Argentinian had his deal put on hold by the board of directors, who were not aware of the deal and were unwilling to pay 20 million euros.
With the South American player in the Netherlands, the clubs renegotiated the deal and it seems that now there is a definitive agreement. According to the Argentinian media 'VarskySports', the winger will play in Amsterdam on loan for four million euros and with a 16 million buyout clause if he meets the objectives agreed between the two clubs.
If Ajax end up signing the Argentina international, Sevilla would receive the 20 million agreed in principle.
The insistence of Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder was key to the deal being done, as the former Brugge boss considers Ocampos to be the perfect replacement for Antony.
