WIth Zinedine Zidane, you can never say with certainty which line-up he is going to name, but everything points to the fact that the Real coach is set to ring the changes when his side travel to La Rosaleda to face Malaga. With their La Liga campaign on the backburner, this clash against relegation favourites Malaga seems the ideal time to rest some key players.
And that's where Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente come in. These two players are both tipped to be moved on from the club in summer, however this game is an ideal opportunity for them to persuade Zidane of their value.
According to 'AS', 'Zizou' could well give both of them a chance on Sunday, starting them together in midfield. At the very least they are expected to be given minutes. So far this season neither of them have accumulated 1000 minutes (715' for Ceballos, 971' for Llorente), and their appearances have been mostly cameos from the bench.
Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, the fixtures of the Real Madrid midfield, are coming into the final stretch of the season having played a lot of football, and with a few physical niggles (in the case of Modric). With the Champions League final rounds and the World Cup just around the corner, this is a good opportunity for them to get a bit of well-earned rest.
Madrid haven't got too much to lose, with 12 points separating them from fifth-placed Betis, and the only thing at stake on Sunday is reclaiming third place from Valencia. However, for Ceballos and Llorente this is a big game; whether it be to convince Real that they should be kept this summer, or to attract interest from other clubs for a move away. Now's your chance, lads.
