Norwich youngster Omobamidele signs first professional contract

Norwich know they have a diamond and they don't want him to escape. Andrew Omobamidele and the English club have reached an agreement. The defender signed his first professional contract just a few hours ago.

He already excelled for Ireland under 17s and Norwich under 17s and all that is left is for him to wait to play for the first team. Norwich aren't having their best season and the need to escape the relegation zone could even give him his chance.

After signing the contract, the club did a small interview with him and Omobamidele expressed his happiness. "It's an incredible feeling. it is exactly the reason I came to England", he said.

With regards to his chances, he thinks that he has the key to get what he wants. "I will work hard to be where I am. I don't think age matters, I think what matters is the level that each player demonstrates", he added in the interview with the club.
