After his perfomance at Euro 2016, Jonas Hector has been linked with Europe's biggest clubs, such as Liverpool, Tottenham and Barcelona.
He scored the final penalty in the quarter final against Italy and fired Germany to the semi final, where they lost against France.
The 26-year-old is currently playing for Cologne. Cologne's sporting director Jorg Schmadtke denied in an interview with 'Kicker' that they received a bid from the Spanish club.
"There has not been any direct contact with Barcelona over Hector.
"I cannot say €18 million is not enough for him, because I never received such an offer.
"I have not spoken with anyone at Barcelona. I know that Barcelona were interested in Hector, but there is nothing more to it.
"His agent told me there was some interest. I told him to speak with Barca and return when things got more concrete. He never returned to me".
