The Super Eagles will get their campaign underway in October and will fancy themselves to win the group.
They have been drawn alongside Cape Verde, Liberia and Central African Republic, none of which have ever qualified for a World Cup.
Nigeria are currently the 3rd best team in African, ranked 31st, and recently drew 1-1 with Brazil. Cape Verde are ranked 78th, Central African Republic are ranked 109th, and Liberia are 152nd. Liberia's most famous ever player is without doubt Ballon d'Or winner and current president George Weah.
In the meantime, Nigeria will be looking to qualify for the African Cup of Nations, and are currently top of a qualifying group that features Benin, Lesotho and Sierra Leone.
