Newcastle v Tottenham halted due to medical emergency in stands!

The match between Newcastle United and Tottenham was stopped for 22 minutes after a fan required medical assistance in the stand opposite main TV camera.

Sergio Reguilon told referee Andre Marriner to stop the game so that the fan could be attended to. He had reportedly gone into cardiac arrest.

The Premier League issued a tweet which said that the match had been stopped to attend to a fan because of a medical emergency. The medics also came with a defibriliator.

After a few minutes, the referee spoke to the police and the stewards and then took the players off the pitch. It brings back memories of when the League One match between Barnsley and Burton Albion was called off back in September 2018, but that was before the game.
