Kieran Trippier left England's national team training camp for "personal reasons", Sky Sports News has revealed the England player is back in training on Tyneside and could face Chelsea next weekend.
The full-back has been a regular starter for Eddie Howe in every game, being an important player and one of those who remain injury-free so far due to the heavy fixture list.
The Magpies currently have 13 absentees in the squad: Sandro Tonali, Jacob Murphy, Dan Burn, Elliot Anderson, Sven Botman, Harvey Barnes, Callum Wilson, Javier Manquillo, Matt Targett, Lewis Hall, Alexander Isak and Miguel Almiron.
The latter two, along with Sean Longstaff as revealed by Sky Sports, are "hopeful" that they will recover and be available for Eddie Howe to face Chelsea in the next round of Premier League fixtures.
