Konstantinos Mavropanos is having a great season at Stuttgart. The Greek was on loan at Nuremberg for a season, but he did not have a relevant role. He is currently on a two year loan deal at the German side which has seem him improve as time goes by. This season, he is a nailed on starter in the centre of defence.
His great form has caught the interest of several clubs, among them Newcastle. According to 'The Sun', Eddie Howe is reportedly looking for a central defender for the January transfer window and the Greek footballer fits perfectly in his plans. He is a well built central defender who has pace. As well as that, he can score goals. He has four already this season.
Despite the fact the move does not seem simple, the Magpies have hope. Even though he is an Arsenal player, the fact they have too many central defenders could help the player leave.
However, 'Bild' reports that Stuttgart have a purchase option on the player for three million euros and their intention is to buy him to then sell the player at a higher price.
