Inter Miami were represented at Thursday's MLS media day by Gerardo Martino and Sergio Busquets, both of whom were clear that they are the team to beat this season and agreed on one thing as they need to be "a solid team" and "prove it on the pitch".
The Spanish midfielder is smiling about rejoining his great friends in Miami, who, in addition to Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba, now include newcomer Luis Suarez.
But the motivation is clear to him: "Our intention is to win and compete, which is the important thing, and that's why we're coming here. We have a lot of pre-season training that will help us. Last year, neither Leo, Jordi nor I had time to train and, now, that's what we have to work on.
He went on to add: "We also have to concede less because, with the players we have in attack, we will always have options. The most important thing is to work on our solidity and be good at the back," commented Busquets.
