Three million euros are going to leave Ronald Koeman without a new CB this season. 'La Gradería' of the radio station 'SER' confirmed that the negotiations between Barcelona and Manchester City have broken down because the English side didn't accept the last offer.
This was around 17 million euros with variables included. City will only accept if Barca put a 20 million euro offer on the table: they aren't willing to lower their demands. On top of that, it isn't the first time that they receive an offer lower to what was requested.
The problem is that according to the aforementioned source, the two clubs have got up from the table and aren't going to continue negotiating. The source takes it as a given that Barca aren't going to sign the young player, who will remain at Pep Guardiola's side.
And what do Barcelona have to do to avoid it and sign him? Put the three million euros on the table that City are demanding for the player. The club's financial situation, which meant that they could not get Memphis Depay before, could be an obstacle to this.
