Negotiations begin between Real Madrid and Conte

Real Madrid will have to decide on their new coach as season as possible so they can start planning for next season. Antonio Conte is in that list of candidates. 'AS' reports that Real Madrid have got in contact with him to talk about how things would be next season with him in charge. 

According to 'AS', the board tell Conte that he has make several changes to the squad. His strong personality means he would not be afraid to get rid of the big names if he felt they were undeperforming. 

Examples of this are Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane. Their futures ate still in doubt despite them being indisputable starters for many years. The Spanish club believe the Italian could be the ideal man to make the big decisions. 

In any cases, talks have only just begun. If progress is made, it is likely Real Madrid will map out a sporting and financial project together with Conte. The club have felt the effects of coronavirus, but also need to improve on their trophyless 2020-21 season.
