On Thursday, one of Barca and Napoli will say goodbye to the Europa League. Napoli will host Barcelona after a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Camp Nou, a result which is not as bad for the home team in the first leg given that the away goals rule has been scrapped.
Luckily for Spaletti's men, they will have both Matteo Politano and Giovanni Di Lorenzo. The former returned to group training this Tuesday after a muscle injury and the latter, who went off dazed in the Serie A encounter against Cagliari, has now recovered from his problem.
Napoli will have to do without Anguissa, Lobotka, Malcuit and Tuanzebe while they will take a last minute decision on Insigne and Hirving Lozano.
The coach himself lamented the numerous absentees which saw his team defeated in their last match. "Absentees penalised us. We couldn't express how we are and we are satisfied with the 1-1 draw at Cagliari. Unfortunately, we never have everyone available. When it seems like the squad is right, we always lose some players. But I have to congratulate those who came in like Osimhen and Fabian. Now we have other important games and we hope to play them with everyone available."
