Nantes to pay Sala tribute one year after his death

Nantes don't forget Emiliano Sala. He played for the French outfit for three-seasons and lost his life on 21st January 2019 after a plane crash when he was moving to Cardiff.

Next Saturday, 25th January, Nantes will play against Bordeaux at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Ligue 1. It will be then when they remember Emiliano Sala.

The Nantes players will not wear the team's traditional yellow top and will instead wear a top inspired by the player's countries of origin, as a tribute to Sala who dreamed of wearing the Argentina colours.

Furthermore, during the warm-up an image of Sala will be displayed on the video screens, a programme will be distributed in his honour and there will be a giant tifo in the stands.

Likewise, the club will not put on any type of music so that the stadium sings the Sala chant, as they usually did after achieving every single one of their targets.
