"My contract renewal is practically settled"

Paris Saint-Germain will battle it out with Manchester City this Wednesday in the semi-final first leg tie of the Champions League. In the preview to the clash, Neymar appeared in the press conference as well as giving a small interview to 'RMC Sport'.

To this latter source, the Brazilian star - who indicated that he was calm about his future and that he feels happy at the French side - highlighted that contract negotiations for his renewal at the French club are at an advanced stage.

"We're in conversations with PSG. There's no rush. Everything is practically settled. I feel comfortable and happy here at Paris Saint-Germain", the Brazilian player confirmed.

Similarly, Neymar valued the form of the French side and highlighted its current squad is the strongest in every sense since he arrived from Barcelona in 2017.

"The team is much more prepared and they know what to do. We got to the Champions League final last season and we want to repeat that. I have complete confidence in this squad. We will achieve it", he explained.

Lastly, the Brazilian star also admitted to feeling in a perfect vein of form himself, and expressed his desire for PSG fans to return to the stands as soon as posible to enjoy the club's successes.

"I think I'm on form at the moment. I always try to show the best version of myself on the pitch. With the best Neymar on the pitch, PSG have the best chance of winning. As for the fans, I hope that they return to the stadium as soon as possible. I want them to support us, they're there to motivate us", he stated.
