Paris Saint-Germain closed on Tuesday the signing of Nordi Mukiele, a right-back who had previously played for RB Leipzig. The France international became the Parisian side's third signing of the summer for a fee of around 16 million euros.
However, the right winger was very close to joining La Liga. According to Mario Cortegana, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid seriously considered signing him.
In fact, the journalist himself pointed out that the 'Colchonero' club tried to sign him last January. However, Atleti decided not to sign him, as he was too expensive.
Finally, Mukiele is leaving for his home country to play for a top club. The 24-year-old is rated as one of the most promising full-backs in Europe, although he can also play as a centre-back.
