Riqui Puig's situation at Barcelona is a complex one. The 22 year-old midfielder does not have much chance of playing under Xavi Hernandez, but he still has a year left on his Barca contract.
According to 'Sport', Barca have told the young Spaniard's inner circle that he is willing to renew his contract for another season in order to loan him out. Riqui wants to leave for a top club where he is guaranteed game time, but all the options he had in his hands have fallen through.
And on his situation, 'Mundo Deportivo' reports that the MLS could be the great solution for the young Barca player. Apparently, several MLS clubs have shown interest in the Catalan and his agents are waiting for a definitive proposal to complete his possible move.
According to 'Mundo Deportivo', LA Galaxy are the club who are most interested in getting his signing and they have now got in contact with the Barca academy player's agents. The player has been offered a three year contract.
Umtiti, the other problem
Barcelona also need to complete the signing of Samuel Umtiti in the team. 'Sport' says that Barca could use the third economic lever to terminate his contract. Several Turkish clubs have asked about the Frenchman, but he does not think that option is clear and he is dreaming about returning to Ligue 1. Apparently, in the coming days there has been contact with Lyon, his old club, for him to play there next season.
