Mkhitaryan has faith in Roma's sporting project

He had many suitors, but Henrikh Mkhitaryan was always clear. The Armenian player for Roma said that in no moment he wanted to leave the Italian club, completely the opposite. According to 'Sky Sport', the midfielder is a footballer who has always admired Mourinho and his tactics. 

"I stayed because I believe in the club's project. I believe in it from the beginning. I consider that we can achieve great things," he said in comments that the media outlet said on their official Twitter account.

He said that he received several offers from Italy and other foreign clubs, but he never wanted to leave. He also wanted to talk about his coach and how he is feeling ahead of the new season. "Mourinho is very ambitious, he always wants to win. Everyone knows that the Portuguese has won almost all trophies possible. We hope to win many titles with him," the midfielder said. 

When asked about the role he would play in the team next season, he said that he knows what Mourinho's demands are, but that he is prepared to give it his all. He also put to one side the small differences the pair had when they were together at Man Utd in 2018. This meant Mkhitaryan packed his bags and went to Arsenal. He is very excited ahead of the new season. However, he kept mum when asked which clubs asked about him at the beginning of the summer.
