The former Scotland international was player-manager at Livingstone, but left the club because of their request for him to give up his playing reponsabilities, which he was not willing to do.
The 38-year old is now a free agent and St Mirren boss Alan Stubbs is not ruling out making a move for him to come in as a player.
When asked about the possibility of the former Rangers player joining the club, Stubbs said: "I don't know, to be honest. It was something we discussed in the summer, whether it is something we discuss over the coming days and weeks you'll have to wait and see."
Stubbs admitted that he had not foreseen Miller leaving his role at Livingstone, but refused to rule out him signing for the 'Saints'.
"I don't think many people would have foreseen that but you know what football is like. You never say never, we'll have to just wait and see,"
