Milan striker Morata on the verge of joining Galatasaray

Alvaro Morata is about to make the most surprising move of the winter transfer window. According to Fabrizio Romano, his move to Galatasaray is very close to being finalised. He claims that it could be official in the next few hours.

Milan were looking for a reinforcement in attack in these last days of the market. However, it seemed to be a move to reinforce the offensive zone, but if it is found, it will be to compensate for the loss of the Spanish striker. If his departure is confirmed, Tammy Abraham and Jovic, who is not playing much for the team, would be the only attacking references.

Morata's agent, Juanma Lopez, led talks with Galatasaray on Thursday. In principle, the most likely formula is a loan deal until 30 June, as he still has three years left on his contract and has only been at the San Siro for six months. The Italians paid 13 million for the Spanish national team captain, who would have competition for Victor Osimhen in Turkey.

The Spanish striker has scored six goals in 25 games in all competitions, with a total of 1,672 minutes. Abraham, with 1,161', has the same number of goals. And ahead of both strikers are Christian Pulisic (12 in 1,947 minutes), Tijani Reijnders (10 in 2,552‘) and Rafael Leao (8 in 2,021’).
