Milan has reported through its official channels that Gianluigi Donnarumma, Jens Petter Hauge and three other members of the first team have tested positive for coronavirus.
In a short official statement, the Italian team announced the results of the COVID-19 tests carried out on the team on the evening of Sunday 25th October.
The good news is that they are all asymptomatic and are already isolated in their respective homes. In addition, the rest of the team has given negative.
Milan are scheduled to host Roma on Monday 26th October ahead of the Serie A match on the fifth day, a game in which neither of the two players mentioned can be present.
This is the official statement of Milan:
"AC Milan announces that the results received from the laboratory this Sunday found a positive swab from Gianluigi Donnarumma, Jens Petter Hauge and three other members of the team's group," reads the statement.
"All are asymptomatic, were immediately placed in home isolation and the local health authorities were informed. Today the whole team was tested again, according to the protocol, and no new positivity was found," it says.
