Thomas Partey seems to be cursed with injuries this season. The Ghanaian midfielder has not played for Arsenal since October 8th, after being sidelined for up to three months following thigh surgery.
Just when it looked like the Gunners' midfield would be boosted by a possible return from injury for Partey after the former Atletico Madrid man trained following the win over Nottingham Forest, Arteta revealed he has suffered another injury setback.
The 30-year-old midfielder will miss Sunday's game against Liverpool, according to the Spanish coach. "With Thomas unfortunately we had a little setback a few days ago. He’s not going to be available in the squad," he said.
"They’ve been different kinds of injuries. Not everything is bad luck but there are a lot of things that are difficult to control. The player has an history where he’s issues in the past so we have to protect him," he concluded.
