Messi's 'star of the future' has awakened

Raised in Paris Saint-Germain's youth system, the young striker took the brave decision to leave in search of greener pastures. A result of the brutal level of attack that PSG possess, thanks to the acquisitions of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
His choice: RB Leipzig, a club who was a revelation in the Bundesliga last season, in which they qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history. The perfect competition to develop for a young forward.
However, as expected, it was difficult for Augustin to hit the ground running, needing time to adjust to his new surroundings and system and especially given the high expectations weighing on his shoulders.
Messi, one of the best footballers in the world, included the Frenchman on his list of ten future stars - something that was backed up when Augustin made it onto the Golden Boy shortlist in 2017.
He has since awakened at the German outfit though. Six of his 11 starts for Leipzig have come in 2018 and last month he doubled his goal tally for the year: increasing from four to eight in quick succession.
The last one came in the Europa League against Zenit St. Petersburg, securing progression to the quarter-final stage. His next test though? Against runaway league leaders Bayern Munich, and the 20-year-old will be hoping to ruin their title-celebration party.
