Mctominay late winner helps United see off Omonia

Manchester United have managed to stay in contention with Real Sociedad to go through as group winners after a narrow win over Omonia Nicosia. After a match in which Uzoho's incredible performance made things difficult for the English club, Mctominay finally gave them the three points.

The Red Devils had control of the game throughout the first half. However, although Ten Hag's team kept possession and created several chances, they failed to score the opening goal.

Rashford forced Uzoho into several lovely saves to prevent United from taking the lead. A couple of efforts from Cristiano Ronaldo went narrowly wide, as did another from Bruno Fernandes. Both Portuguese players tried their luck but also failed to give the home side the lead.

The Mancunian team's most dangerous chance came in the 33rd minute. Casemiro received the ball 30 yards from goal, but the Brazilian midfielder still hit the crossbar with a shot that came very close to becoming the first goal of the match.

The second half started in the same vein as the first, as Uzoho made an incredible double save. Rashford drove the ball and found Ronaldo on the edge of the box. Ronaldo fed Antony inside the box, whose shot to the far post was saved by Uzoho. The rebound fell to Rashford, who shot to the near post, but Uzoho made another superb save.

During the second half, Ten Hag's team tried to score but failed to beat Uzoho. When time seemed to be running out, Mctominay managed to push the ball into the net after the rebound fell to him following a pass from Sancho.
