Mbappe to come on as a substitute against Netherlands

Kylian Mbappe will not start Friday night's match against the Netherlands. France's RMC Sport reported that the Real Madrid striker will start the second day of the European Championship on the bench due to a nasal fracture that has forced him to wear a protective mask.

As for his replacement, the name on the table is Aurelien Tchouameni, with whom he will also share a dressing room at Real Madrid. But obviously, it will not be a man-for-man change, but rather a change in the French national team's formation.

Didier Deschamps will switch from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2. He will take advantage of the return of Tchouameni, who was sidelined for the Champions League final and France's debut in the tournament against Austria due to a foot injury, to reinforce the midfield for the match that, a priori, should present the most difficulties in the group.

The 'Merengue' player would line up in midfield alongside Ngolo Kante, who was named MVP in the first match, and Adrien Rabiot. And ahead of them, as a link between the engine room and upfront, Antoine Griezmann is expected. If there are no surprises, it will be Marcus Thuram and Ousmane Dembele.
