Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe was named the best French player of the 2023-24 season while at PSG, according to France Football magazine, slightly ahead of Arsenal central defender William Saliba.
Speaking to the magazine, Mbappe, who turns 26 next week and is experiencing a storming start to the season with Real Madrid and the France national team, acknowledged that Saliba, who also came from Bondy in the Parisian suburbs, deserved the award.
In 2023-2024, Mbappe played 48 times for PSG, scoring 44 goals and providing 10 assists. During that period, with the French national team, he played 12 games and scored two goals.
The French striker is not having a good start to his time at Real Madrid. He will also be out this weekend against Rayo Vallecano after picking up an injury against Atalanta in the Champions League.
