The 15-year-old has been called up to play against Jersey in the annual clash on Saturday. The youth footballer has already captained the England U15 squad, and regularly plays with the male squad at both U16 and U18 level.
Le Tissier though is unconcerned with making history, in a radio interview with 'BBC Radio Guernsey' she said: ''It doesn't really bother me, it's just another game of football. It's good to make history but I'm not really too fussed about it to be honest, as long as I can put in a good performance and show other girls that they can come through and do what I've done.''
She also makes history as the only player, male or female, from the Channel Islands to be selected for the England youth squad. Le Tissier represents St Martin's in the junior leagues, with the team leading in the closing stages of the season.
Le Tissier's team-mate Brad O'Regan added: ''Maya's always been in the side, so it's nothing different to us. She won't let the history part affect her game."
