Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins has signed a multi-million dollar deal to transfer to Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.

Sunday, 'BBC Sport' confirmed that Martins will be leaving the Liga USA and joining the Chinese Super League next season.

Martins was voted Africa's most promising talent in 2003 and 2004.
