Spaniard Roberto Martinez, Belgium head coach, has revealed that the game against Croatia (0-0), where his side crashed out of the World Cup, was his "last game" in charge of the Red Devils.
"It's my last game with this side. It's a very emotional moment for me", he said with glass-like eyes during the press conference.
"I'm someone who likes to learn from mistakes. I've been here six years. I was very committed to the project. We got a bronze medal (in 2018), and we had to give this project another go. I've really enjoyed it. I've left a great legacy and I'm very happy with the result", he added.
"When I see the players in the dressing room, I see players who are growing and making the most of the this generation's lessons. It's been six years of growth for me and I've done everything I've been able to with the national side. I'm very happy with what this side has achieved. And the real fans appreciate too what they've done", he highlighted.
